چکیده

Two crosses of bread wheat viz., K 1006 x LOK 1 and PBW 343 HUW 234 were investigated to explore the useful variability parameters, correlation along with inheritance study (skewness kurtosis) in segregating F2 F3 population for yield its component traits respectively. Narrow difference between phenotype genotype coefficient variation showed less influence environment on expression under investigation. High heritability coupled high genetic advance as per cent mean (GAM) registered segregants both majority characters. Among identified transgressive it was higher most like Grain filling duration (GFD), Spike length (SPL), Awn (AL),  Peduncle (PL), Plant height (PLH), No. spikelet’s spike (SLPS), Net effective tiller (NET), Area SPAD decline curve (AUSDC)  in generation depicting predominance additive gene action, followed by selection progeny testing that can be utilized improving these traits. Significance sum square  for among indicated presence adequate amount plants. plant-1 significant positive NET, SPL, PLH, SLPS, GPS revealed leads increase overall productivity crop. Inheritance a negatively skewed Platykurtic distribution (1000 grain weight, AL, PL, DM, GFD AUSDC) governed many genes exhibiting dominant based duplicate epistasis population. Similarly, positively GYPP, GPS, DF suggested large number showing complementary epistasis. Hence, intense is required rapid gain. studies are more powerful than first second-degree statistics which disclosed interaction effects. Keywords: Wheat, Skewness, Kurtosis, Transgressive Segregants, Variation, Correlation.

Combined Genomic and Genetic Data Integration of Major Agronomical Traits in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

The high resolution integration of bread wheat genetic and genomic resources accumulated during the last decades offers the opportunity to unveil candidate genes driving major agronomical traits to an unprecedented scale. We combined 27 public quantitative genetic studies and four genetic maps to deliver an exhaustive consensus map consisting of 140,315 molecular markers hosting 221, 73, and 82...

Genetic Heritability for Grain Yield and Its Related Characters in Spring Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.)

Seven F3 progenies and their 8 parental lines of spring wheat were evaluated for some genetic parameters viz., coefficient of variability (Cv), genetic variance (Vg), heritability percentage (h %) and genetic advance (GA) in 7 quantitative characters (grain yield and its associated traits). Highly significant (p≤0.01) differences were observed for all the characters viz. plant height, number of...

Genetic Analysis of Androgenetic Traits in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

The objective of this study was to estimate genetic parameters and to investigate the type of gene action in controlling androgenesis in wheat. Two wheat cultivars of Grebe and Houtman were reciprocally crossed with two synthetic genotypes of Do1 and Pol and then a complete set of the parents, F1, reciprocal F1 (RF1), F2 and back-cross generations (BC1 and BC2) of each cross were used for anthe...

EVALUATION OF YIELD AND SEED REQUIREMENTS STABILITY OF BREAD WHEAT(Triticum aestivum L.) VIA AMMI MODEL

High quality seed of wheat is the key to successful agriculture. Improvement and evaluation of agronomic traits have been the primary objective of breeders for many years under variable environments. The objective of the present research was to determine influence of genotype, environment and their interaction on yield and randman of seed as a seed quality represent and to evaluate stability th...

Stability of four Croatian bread winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars for quality traits

Stability of breadmaking quality of four Croatian bread winter wheat cultivars was investigated using rheological traits from the farinogram (dough development time, stability, degree of soening, water absorption, Hankoczy quality number) and the extensogram (extensibility, maximum resistance, ratio of resistance to extensibility, energy) and the indirect traits (protein content, wet gluten co...
